Michael founded Raphael Architects in 1986 to improve the built environment in the surrounding communities. An architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina with over 35 years of experience in commercial and residential design which also includes many local design awards. Michael has built a reputation for designing innovative buildings for both complex and straight-forward challenges. Michael is focused on listening to his clients’ aesthetic desires, financial capabilities, programmatic requirements and transforming them into beautiful architecture. His commitment to beautiful and sustainable projects has earned him a reputation of design excellence.
With a professional career that spans more than 20 years, Linda has built a diverse portfolio ranging from the large and complex to small and boutique, across a range of practice areas, including education, healthcare, corporate, hospitality and residential. She is a passionate Architect with extensive experience in interior architecture. Through a strong collaboration between her clients and team members, Linda strives to make each project technically excellent, driving performance through a rigorous design approach.
Gretchen Ginnerty is an award winning architect and designer with over 30 years of experience in commercial and residential projects. Gretchen joined Raphael Architects in 2018 bringing her combination of interior design and architecture experience. The focus for Gretchen is on elegant designs and fulfillment of sound, creative projects with a sensitivity to budget which, has been a perfect fit with Raphael Architects. Her diverse education background and experience as a Principal Architect and Project Manager has brought a unique set of skills that positions her to create successful solutions and beautiful spaces.
Peg MacDonald has a strong knowledge of design, construction, and technical expertise from over 32 years of professional experience following education in both Architecture and Interior Design. Peg applies combined experiences to find unique and practical solutions that strengthen project development and enhance project outcomes. As Project Manager for numerous medical office renovations, small commercial buildings, and custom residential new construction /additions/ whole house renovation projects, she has successfully managed projects through all phases from inception to completion. She has particular expertise in project management and programming and enjoys the collaborative nature of design. As part of the Doylestown / Bucks County community since 1987, Peg enjoys fundraising for MS & cycling with Team Ox, Sprint Triathlon and running.
Susan Smith has been the Business Manager at Raphael Architects since the company’s first day in 1986. Susan has provided the firm with her knowledge and expertise in office management, marketing, and administration. Her leadership and vast office management experience includes architecture, engineering and construction firms which, contribute to a more efficient work environment. Her commitment to keeping the projects going smoothly and on budget has proven to be invaluable to the firm along with her excellent follow through, interpersonal – communication, and organization skills. Through her love of art, gardening, stained glass, swimming and playing with her dogs, Susan has been the perfect fit for Raphael Architects.
